Midnight Heros Club
In the streets of New York 2099 one food reigns supreme: The ‘Hero’ sandwich. Of all the deli cooks competing to enter the pantheon of legendary sandwich artists, our main hero Jai, well, he’s certainly one of them. But like most sandwich artists, he would really rather be anywhere other than behind the counter of the deli. Specifically he’d rather be hanging out with his friends Dame, Soapie, and Yogurt. Where is Jai by the way? Did he run off with his friends again?? We have a delivery! Dang it!
Midnight Heros Club was in development at Nickelodeon’s NYC Studios for 9 months in 2015. Concept art, storyboards for the pilot, and a concept for an iOS game were developed, but ultimately didn’t pick up enough steam to get past the development stage.

Blood Pact - After a mysterious delivery goes awry, the gang has a madcap adventure through the city at night. Once safely back home at the deli, they find a bottle of ketchup, draw a knife on it, and make a blood pact to be best friends forever; thereby forming the Midnight Heros Club!
Underground Dodgeball League - While waiting for a subway train to make a crosstown delivery, Jai’s delivery is stolen by the mutant Mole-People who live in the tunnels under the subway. The only way to get it back is to defeat them in a game of dodgeball. Can Jai move like a butterfly and sting like a Mike Tyson punching you in the face with a dodgeball, or will Soapie dodge and weave her way to a victory?
Big Trouble in Little Italy - There have been sightings recently of a Spaghetti Monster roaming through Little Italy, and one night while delivering a sandwich, the kids get into some hot water when they have a close encounter of a saucy kind.
Secretly Asked Questions - Yogurt has been talking to the pigeon that lives outside his window and is gathering dirt on his friends. He becomes increasingly engrossed in conspiracies but is brought down by his own paranoia that his friends are also talking to birds.
Infinite Scroll - Dame accidentally gets stuck in the Internet. At first it’s pretty cool but after awhile he just gets lonely. This image was done in collaboration with Sam Rolfes.
